Second Growth was started by Sherry and Shaina in 2026. In 2017, Sherry moved to the PNW and dove headfirst into everything outdoors. She learned that while new hobbies = new gear, that gear could often be "new to you" rather than brand new.
Sherry believes in the importance of second-hand options to outdoors accessibility and environmental sustainability. She helped build Isella Outdoor and is excited to bring a local consignment option to Lake Forest Park and surrounding communities.
When not adventuring, Sherry enjoys playing tennis, gardening and cuddling with her dog.
Shaina grew up hiking and backpacking in the Pacific Northwest, and the mountains have been calling ever since. In 2022, she met Sherry while taking a basic mountaineering course together (shoutout to Washington Alpine Club), and they realized a shared vision: make quality outdoor gear more accessible and bring a great consignment option to north of Seattle.
When she's not on a trail, you'll find Shaina tending her garden, baking bread, making something crafty, opening a good bottle of wine, or lounging around with her cats.
